The rooms are well kept, clean and comfortable. In my experience the Intercity Hotel chain has always provided a very acceptable and affordable standard that is the same across all hotels. I have never been disappointed.

The hotel location for those who are in transit Frankfurt is perfect! Only 10 min by shuttle (free from FRA airport) and you are in very nice hotel with comfortable beds. You can request for sauna at reception and you have gym as well. Shuttle every 30 minutes to/from airport. Enjoy

Great Overnight Stay near Frankfurt Airport after flight delayed!

We had an unexpected overnight stay when our flight arrived late from Munich and we missed our connecting flight at Frankfurt Airport! This hotel is very near the airport and has a courtesy bus to take you to/from the Terminal. We were able to check in quickly, room was good, plenty of space, good bathroom with great shower. We had a meal in the restaurant which was good and breakfast the next morning for good and plentiful. Staff here was helpful and friendly, the bar in the hotel was nice to enjoy a nightcap. Would stay here again, if we need an overnight stay/stopover again.

Extremely Noisy and subpar customer service

Overall I give this hotel a 1 out 5. There were stains throughout the room, on the chair and bed sheets. I noticed there were greasy hand prints on the mirrors and throughout the room itself. The most bothersome, was the smell of urine in the bathroom. It smelled as if housekeeping does not clean thoroughly at all. Lastly, the amenities offered are good. The gym is spacious, clean and has plenty of machines for a total body workout. Nice! The restaurant is spacious and them menu is not outrageously priced but fair for the food offered. Not the greatest. Customer service is ok. The language barrier is a minor problem, but definitely present at this hotel. The location is minutes from the airport and with that said not many stores, markets or restaurants within walking distance. House keeping can be more cognizant of the noise they make while cleaning rooms. I heard toilet lids slam more than I needed to. The constant slamming and bumping kept me up for hours, absolutely no consideration for guests. Lastly, Reception knocked and disturbed my rest not once but twice to ask a question and phoned a coworker of mine of the same issue. I found this to be unprofessional and completely unnecessary. Management was notified.

Disappointing Hotel and Food Buffet given to us from Airlines for missed connection

We missed a connecting flight and were given a free one night stay and food voucher from Lufthansa airlines to use at the Intercity Hotel in Frankfurt. We did not have a choice from the airlines on a hotel because this was the only hotel left for us to stay at. We had to change rooms two times, one because it was not clean the second because the air-conditioner did not work which is the last thing one feels like doing after spending several hours at the airport getting your flight schedule fixed. We were not given any alternative on how to use our food voucher at the hotel. We had to eat in an enclosed cafeteria style room with tons of others who missed flights. The buffet was cold, half gone and just not good. The next morning once again we were stuffed in the cafeteria with a buffet that was not good. We wanted to eat in the sitting area outside, but they would not let us. The only good thing I have to say is that the staff were apologetic and understanding when we had to change rooms twice. Just overall there is nothing charming about this hotel, it felt more like a prison. If given a choice by the airlines on where to stay, you can do better than this hotel.
